Welcome to Spanish Made Easy

Spanish is a wonderfully logical language—most of the time. Its pronunciation is predictable, its spelling generally behaves itself, and many of its grammar rules follow patterns that make sense once someone explains them in plain English.

Then along come ser and estar, por and para, wandering pronouns, masculine tables, feminine hands, reflexive verbs, and enough verb tenses to keep a student humble.

That's what Spanish Made Easy is about. These short articles aren't intended to replace a Spanish course or grammar book. Instead, they tackle some of the things that most often confuse English-speaking students and explain them without drowning you in grammatical terminology.

Read the articles that interest you, try the accompanying StudyStack exercises when you'd like some practice, and don't worry about mastering everything at once. Spanish is learned a little at a time.

¡Adelante! Let's make Spanish a little easier.
