Welcome to My History Collection

History has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. Having been born in the midst of World War II, I've had the privilege of witnessing many of the major events that shaped the second half of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first. Those experiences have only deepened my appreciation for the people, ideas, and events that came before my own lifetime.

This collection reflects both interests. Here you'll find articles on American history, the Civil War, military history, world affairs, and the remarkable individuals whose decisions changed the course of nations. Some essays explore well-known events, while others revisit lesser-known episodes that deserve a second look.

I have no claim to being a professional historian. Rather, I write as a lifelong student of history who enjoys researching the facts, weighing different viewpoints, and presenting them in a way that is both informative and enjoyable to read. My goal is not merely to recount what happened, but to ask why it happened and what lessons it may still hold for us today.

Whether you're a fellow history enthusiast or simply curious about a particular topic, I hope you'll find something here that sparks your interest—and perhaps encourages you to look at the past through a slightly different lens.

Happy exploring!
