Welcome to Word Processing Made Easy
This page is a collection of nine practical articles designed to help you get far more out of Microsoft Word than simply typing letters and reports.
Most people know how to enter and edit text. Far fewer realize that Word can automatically create Tables of Contents, build alphabetical indexes, manage citations and bibliographies, control complex page numbering, and keep references accurate even as a document changes.
These articles aren't intended to make you a computer programmer or a publishing expert. They're written for everyday users who want to save time, reduce frustration, and produce documents that look polished and professional.
Although my examples use Microsoft Word for Mac, Windows users will find that the concepts and most commands are remarkably similar. The buttons may be in slightly different places, but the underlying ideas are the same.
So grab a cup of coffee, open Word, and prepare to discover features that have been hiding in plain sight for years. You may never look at your favorite word processor the same way again.
