Welcome, PC fans and Mac heads!

Are you like me? Computers have been a lifelong passion. When I'm away from my iMac Pro, I'm usually working on my MacBook Air. And when the MacBook gets a little too warm on my lap, I reach for my iPhone instead.

Computers and I go way, way back—to the days of tape-fed word processors, dual-floppy Cado Systems computers, and the pioneering TRS-80 machines from Radio Shack. I became quite proficient with the venerable MS-DOS operating system and even enjoyed programming in those early days. But when graphical interfaces and the mouse replaced the blinking C:> prompt, I happily left much of that behind. Sometimes I joke that my tombstone should be carved in the shape of a computer monitor.

I'm dedicating these pages to anyone who enjoys using computers and wants to get beyond simply pointing and clicking. Whether you're just getting started, switching between Windows and Mac, or looking for practical tips to make your work easier, you'll find friendly articles, helpful advice, and straightforward instruction designed to make your time in front of the screen more productive—and a little more enjoyable.

The next page will have links to articles on the basics--how computers have changed everything, should you choose a PC or a Mac? -- Basic computer hardware, operating systems, and office applications. So, close down that Solitaire game, and see my first articles on Tech Made Easy.

Thanks for visiting.
